Chaitra Navratri 2020 dates: This year Chaitra Shukla Paksha Navratri will start from 25 March 2020 and It will conclude on April 2, 2020. The Hindu Navamwatsar also begins on this day. The Navratri of Chaitra month is also called ‘Annual Navratri’. According to the Hindu scriptures, Kanya or Kumari Puja is done in these nine days of Navratri. In Kumari Pujan girls up to ten years old are worshiped on Ashtami and Navami on the auspicious occasion of Navratri.

In these nine-days Navratri festival, nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped named Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhadatri Devi respectively. During these auspicious nine days of Navratri, people regularly doing pooja and fasting for all nine days. The worship of Goddess Durga also called Shakti for nine days of Durga Puja by recitation of Durga Saptashati, etc. The importance of Shakti puja has been expressed in our religious scriptures. Chaitra Navratri 2020: Ghatasthapana Timings

The beginning of Chaitra Navratri Pujan starts from the beginning of the Ghatasthapana. On the day of Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha, pledge is taken after taking bath in morning. After taking the sankalp of the fast, barley is sown after making an altar of clay. Ghat is installed on this altar. The idol of the goddess Durga is installed and worshiped on top of it, and "Durga Saptashati" is recited. The lamp should remain unbroken during Durga Pooja. This year the Ghatasthapana will be from 06:23 AM to 07:14 AM. After this, sthapana can also be done in Abhijit Muhurta.

Along with Durga Puja, this time is also more suitable for those interested in Tantra-mantra. . Any Pooja without a mantra is considered incomplete. According to the Hindu scriptures, every person must worship the planets in order to achieve peace and tranquility. In these nine days of the Mata Durga, peace of the planets gives special benefits. Chanting of mantra in these nine days can fulfil the desire quickly. On the first day of Navratri, worship is started by the Kalash sthapna of Mata Durga.
