Jio
Fiber plans launch: Loaded with freebies at Rs 699
After a wait for over a year, Jio Fiber plans are finally out. Reliance
Jio making its commercial debut into India's FTTH broadband sector with plans
as low as Rs 700.
The company has shared information about its fiber broadband
service today. A bouquet of services, including FTTH high-speed broadband up to
1Gbps, live TV, online gaming, group video calls, and more will be available to
Jio Fiber customers across 1600 cities in India.
Jio has classified the
plans into different categories the company will initially be offering a total
of six prepaid plans, dubbed as Bronze (Rs. 699 per month), Silver (Rs. 849 per
month), Gold (Rs. 1,299 per month), Diamond (Rs. 2,499 per month), Platinum
(Rs. 3,999 per month), and Titanium (Rs. 8,499 per month). The Jio Fiber Bronze
and Silver plans will offer a data speed of 100Mbps, whereas the Gold and
Diamond plans will come with 250Mbps and 500Mbps Internet speeds, respectively.
Both Platinum and Titanium plans will provide 1Gbps data speed. Alongside
these monthly plans, Customers will also be able to subscribe to three-monthly,
six-monthly, and annual plans at reduced rates.
According to Jio each of the Jio Fiber plans will come with unlimited
data download and upload, however there will be a FUP, starting with 100GB of
the base Bronze plan, and going up to 5000GB for the top-end Titanium plan. Jio
will also offer free extra high-speed data up to 250GB, depending on the plan,
initially. This extra data is separate from each plan's FUP limit. The 1Gbps plans
won't get any extra free data.
The annual subscriptions for Gold, Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium packs will entitle the customers for free 4K TV set. Specifically, the Jio Fiber Platinum and Titanium plan users will also get access to Jio VR platform, Jio First-Day First-Show movies service, and special sports content. The yearly subscriptions for all the plans will include free domestic voice calls via the company's Home Phone landline service, TV video calling, gaming, and Jio security solution, Jio 4K set-top box, subscription to OTT platforms
